I spent most of my professional life as a dental hygienist, working for the same dental practice the majority of my career. It came as quite a shock to me when one day, out of the blue, the Dr. announced his early retirement. At the same time, my husband and I had just sold our business, Captain Rick’s Gourmet Dressings.
So here I was at a crossroads, unsure about what direction to take, when a good friend and broker suggested I get my real estate license. My initial reaction was an uncompromising no. I didn’t see myself in real estate sales or think it was the right career move. But after some serious soul searching and strong encouragement from my friend, I became licensed.
To my surprise, I was extremely well-suited to real estate sales. It’s all about relationships and the ability to authentically connect with people. The loyalty, trust and confidence that my patients felt toward me are the exact qualities that my real estate clients value. They know how much I care and that protecting their interest is my number one priority. Relationships are the foundation of my business and what I cherish the most.
