Growing up in Athens, Greece, food was woven into all aspects of Dimitris Harvalis’ life. His grandmother used ingredients like garlic, lemon, and oregano to create delicious creations that inspired Harvalis to be a chef. “She always managed to make the most amazing dishes from simple, fresh ingredients,” said Mr. Harvalis about his grandmother. “That is what I aspire to deliver to my customers every day – a little piece of my experience as a boy in Greece.”

Today, Dimitris has been a chef for over thirty years, with the last eight as the owner of Elia Gourmet. Elia Gourmet brings the distinct yet simple flavors of Greek cooking to Pinecrest by offering healthy food options with a Mediterranean twist. The menu includes breakfast, wraps, salads, bowls, freshly made juices, gourmet baked goods and a kid’s menu.
