I like to say I was born with yarn in my veins. My mom and dad made large-scale needle point tapestries since I was born. I grew up with a weaving loom in my basement in Miami Beach.
Through out my life I was always in arts and crafts, dance and fashion. When I was 16 years old, my mom passed from cancer. That's when I became fascinated with the weaving loom and started taking night classes at the University of Miami. I was the only one under 50, and I picked it up so quickly that I knew I'd studio Textiles.
I took a knitting machine course and I was literally hooked! Not only could I make clothes in a day, but I could make fabric that was wearable for many body types. I went from hand loom machine knitting and started selling my clothes directly to small independent boutiques from my suitcase.
I have been selling unique clothes that fit all the curves. Since the structure of the fabric stretches, it molds to what ever body is in it! I'm also aware that we live in a hot tropical climate, so my fabric naturally is ventilated and made from plant based cool fabrics. (no wool sweaters here!). I use my Miami city as my inspiration; colorful, comfortable, sexy, and fun!
