When I was growing up in Havana, Cuba, I did everything possible to earn a trip to the best pizzeria in my area. It wasn’t affordable, so I had to earn it with my family. I loved that crunch bite sound with that flavory melted cheese that stretched and made a bit mess around my mouth.

When I immigrated to the United States, I had the opportunity to visit Rome, Italy, for the first time. It was during this trip that I tried the most delicious, fascinating, and perfectly crafted wood-fired pizza that didn’t compare to anything that I had tried before. After a few years and trips back to Italy, I realized that Miami didn’t have many wood-fired pizzerias that were accessible to everyone. As a result, I decided to bring a piece of Rome to Little-Havana in Miami. My name is Jhonathan Valdes from Pizzaiola, and our purpose is to offer delicious wood-fired pizza using high quality products at affordable prices.
